MioGame

A launcher for games your muscles control

Role

Development, hardware integration

Stack

Unity · Python · TypeScript

Overview

A launcher with a library of games driven by a myograph — a device that reads muscle tension. The player straps on the sensors and plays with effort instead of a gamepad. We bring the kit to the venue.

How it works

The myograph reads muscle tension and feeds it into the game as a continuous signal. Squeeze harder — the character moves faster. Some games run on an EEG headband instead, and there the winner is whoever manages to relax.

The library

Twelve games for different situations: team ones (Rope, Fortress, Wave), competitive ones (Hammer, Sprint, Duel, Marathon) and calm ones (Zen, Aquarium, Lightpaint). A round runs from fifteen seconds to two minutes, so the queue keeps moving.

On site

The kit is up and running in forty-five minutes. Results go onto a daily leaderboard with names — it gathers a crowd better than any advertising.
